Our commitment is to develop a sustainable DHL Express network regarding the environment. This means that our efforts must converge in the following:

1. Environmental protection is an integral part of our corporate strategy, which is aimed at long-term value creation; as well as an important part of the way we evaluate our business activities and performance.
2. In close co-operation with our customers and business partners, we take measures to prevent and minimise our negative environmental impacts, and manage responsibly those that cannot be readily eliminated.
3. Compliance with national and international environmental regulation, as a minimum, and best practice voluntary initiatives, such as ISO14001.
4. Our people are trained and motivated to behave in an environmentally responsible manner throughout their everyday activities.
5. The systematic measurement of our environmental performance and enhanced efficiencies in our transportation and logistics processes achieved through technological innovation, at all times aiming for continuous improvement.
6. Ongoing communication and co-operation with all stakeholders, including openly reporting on performance and new developments.
